Mission and Value Statements
Rooted in faith, growing in wisdom, branching into the world
Vision
We are a diverse, vibrant learning community where everyone is welcomed, valued and encouraged. Loving relationships, rooted in the teachings of Jesus, allow children and adults to flourish together, creating wise, compassionate, respectful individuals who are ready to confidently take a productive place in an ever changing world.
Narrative
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
Matthew 35-40
Our Christian Values
We work with our parents to encourage them to take an active role in their child's education and life both in the school and at home.
We will support all our pupils from a range of cultures and backgrounds to become well rounded individuals who understand, demonstrate and celebrate our Christian Values - Endurance, Forgiveness, Friendship, Compassion and Equality. We expect our pupils and staff to treat everyone with respect and understanding.
By the time our pupils leave Guston Church of England Primary School they will be ready to take the next steps in their lives academically, emotionally and socially to become valued members of the wider community.
