Chestnut Class Forest School
Class: Chestnut Class (Year 2) Year: 2022 - 2023
The children had so much fun in the forest! It was all about our world and how we can look after our environment. The children went litter picking around the school. They went on a 'Signs of Autumn' hunt and made habitats for different animals. They made leaf kebabs and the best bit was toasting sugary apple slices!
The children did lots of fun activities linked to our topic- 'Nurturing Nurses.' They used bandages and made stretchers for woodland creatures. They also made a Christmas ornament.
The children did a range of activities linked to the Great Fire of London. They made paper houses and watched them burn on the fire while singing London's burning! They played a game where the had to pass water down a line to put out a pretend fire. They got free time in the forest to explore and play and of course they toasted a marshmallow!
The children went bug hunting, made shelters, got messy with muddy water and of course ate marshmallows!
